Lane County Criminal Court Records

Charges vs Convictions in Lane County
A charge is an accusation filed or listed by law enforcement or the prosecutor. A conviction is a finding or plea that the defendant committed a criminal offense. Public Access to Lane County Criminal Records

Restricted Lane County Criminal Records
Several criminal-adjacent records are not ordinary public court records. Juvenile records are restricted under ORS chapter 419A, and OJD public search excludes juvenile cases. Mental health adjudication records are also excluded from the public online case search. Violence Against Women Act protected case records and calendar information are not provided through the public OJD service. Personal identifying information, including addresses and Social Security numbers, is withheld.

Lane County Criminal Record Copies
For certified criminal court records, request the case document from Lane County Circuit Court Records / Court Archives Department. Provide the case number when available. If the case number is unknown, provide the defendant name, other party information if relevant, approximate filing date, and the exact document or hearing date needed. The clerk reviews the request, emails the amount due, and processes the request after payment is made in full.
Copy types include regular paper copies, certified paper copies, exemplified paper copies, emailed digital copies, digital certified copies, digital exemplified copies, compact disc delivery, mailing, and electronic recording copies. A hearing audio request must identify the hearing date or trial day. Large requests may carry added costs, and the court closes a request if the requester does not respond to a request for payment or more information within the stated court-business-day window.
